Who We Are
Susan Wotton, Director
Susan is mom to five adult boys and had a career teaching special education. Shortly after Susan retired from teaching in New York she had her first up close wildlife experience with a raccoon named George Cooney. After seeing George become healthy and strong, he was released back to the wild leaving behind a spark in Susan to help more raccoons and other woodland creatures. She followed her mom and dad to Bucksport, Maine and began her studies to become a licensed wildlife rehabber. Susan studied for 18 months under Acadia Wildlife where she learned the ins and outs of treating medical needs of sick and injured animals as well as orphan care. She then started the non-profit known as Critterville Wildlife Rehabilitation.
